KPMG Risk Consulting team helps companies identify and manage risks inherent in business processes and technology systems that support business objectives and provide leading practices and solutions needed to help them manage risks in pursuit of their strategic business goals.

Risk Consulting professionals will assist clients to design, implement and monitor their risk management and assurance mechanisms; and perform compliance reviews in relation to standards, laws and regulations. We also provide our Clients with holistic risk transformation, risk process optimization, data driven analytics, to help Client strengthen their risk management frameworks and tools.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in providing a variety of risk management consulting services for Financial Institution Clients (i.e. risk management including quantitative model development & business data analytics) with quality and timely deliverables

• Support the development of client deliverables or for internal business needs

• Serve on workstreams for complex projects, liaise with client counterparts, and actively participate in discussions on project management and work delivery needs

• Assist project team in providing recommendations to improve or transform risk management to gain efficiencies or scale or reduce risk for our clients

• Produce quality work products independently and collectively with team members throughout development lifecycle from initial conception to implementation

Qualifications & Experience 

• Bachelor's degree in Risk, Finance, Business Management, Economics, Statistics or related field

• Having working experience in the financial services or consulting industry related to Market/ Liquidity/ IRRBB risk management; Financial risk management; Quantitative analytics; business strategy, product management, regulatory compliance, risk management, controls oversight, technology, or operations; and / or, R, SAS, Python and/or SQL programmers.

• One or more of the following Financial Services industries: consumer or corporate banking, investment banking or capital markets, investment management, wealth management, trust company, insurance provider, or related service provider is an advantage

• Good command of English is a MUST

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Good communication skills

• Self-motivated and team player

• Enthusiastic, demonstrating a “can do” attitude with an ability to learn quickly
